This week, Thay was awarded the World Peace Forum 2019 Luxemburg Peace Prize for Outstanding Inner Peace. Thay's attendant, Brother Phap Huu, represented the community to accept the award on his behalf.

Order of Interbeing Retreat: Beautiful Practice, Beautiful Continuation
Cedar Cabin Cabin Order of Interbeing members and aspirants Pamela Goddard, Nancy Koschmann, Judy Leaf, Terry Babb and Jeff Vosburgh attended the 2019 Order of Interbeing Retreat at Blue Cliff Monastery April 24 through 28th.
Sangha member Jeff Vosburgh received the transmission of the 14 Mindfulness Trainings to become the 6th member of our sangha to be ordained as a member of the Order of Interbeing.

A Delegation of US Senators Visit Thich Nhat Hanh
A delegation of nine US Senators visited Thich Nhat Hanh at Tu Hieu temple as part of their official visit to Vietnam. They included Senators Leahy, Murkowski, Stabenow, Whitehouse, Udall, Portman, Baldwin, Hirono, and Kaine. A number of them attended Thay's lectures on Capitol Hill in 2003 and 2011, and have even joined him on retreat. They shared that Thay has taught them what peace is, and how to smile, and how to enjoy every step as they walk to make their votes.
